Self assesment

In my summary and analysis of the article on CRISPR, I learned how to balance scientific explanation with ethical reflection. Writing about gene editing pushed me to clearly summarize complex ideas, such as how CRISPR can be used to prevent diseases or improve traits in humans. At the same time, I had to consider and explain the controversial side, including concerns about health risks, unnatural interference, and moral beliefs. One challenge was making the science understandable while keeping the tone objective and respectful of both sides. This assignment helped me improve my summarizing skills, especially by paraphrasing long passages and presenting the author’s main points without copying. It also made me more aware of how to organize ideas logically—starting with the benefits, then moving to the drawbacks and ethical concerns. Overall, this writing helped me grow in explaining complicated topics clearly and thinking critically about science and society.
